These are 3D printable S&W M&P15-22 magazines. Starting from The Fair Deal magazine by General Custer, I've modeled these as close to a 1:1 as possible of the original. The body is one printable part, eliminating the seam separation issue of the OEMs.
The spring dimensions are in the images folder and are also linked below. They're slightly thicker than OEM S&W mags but it was the only listing I could find on AliExpress with the closest dimensions to the S&W versions. Black Dog Machine springs should be compatible and I've included the followers for them, should you wish to use those instead (I've only tested z-springs currently). And of course, if you have OEM springs from old worn out mags, those will work perfectly.
(V1.2) Changes:
- Added geometry to the feed lips to prevent double feeding.
- Added a larger fillet to the z-spring follower to prevent binding at the bottom of the mag when loading the last few rounds.
Print Settings:
Parts should load in your slicer in the recommended orientation for printing.
- Layer Height: 0.16mm
- Walls: 4
- Infill: 15% Gyroid
- Supports: Tree(Manual) On the base of the magazine only (see images)
These settings I find will give the magazine a similar weight and feel to the OEM version. You could print with less walls and/or infill and it would still work just fine. I recommend you add a modifier block to the feed lips and make them print with maximum walls for longevity (see images).
