The mag release on the original SMp-40 being on the right side was tweaking my OCD out since the Mp40 has the mag release on the left side of the gun. I took the original file, mirrored the mag release portion over, and made sure the channel for the ejector was in place. This satisfies my OCD but will required additional work on your part, and permanently modifying parts. No readme included, read the description below, this is just the .step file. Feel free to modify it as you see fit. If you don't like the ribbed version - removing the ribs is easy enough in CAD.

Parts to be permanently modified.

1.) Magazine Release - because you are flipping it over, the bevel on the bottom is now on the top. You need to cut in a new bevel for mags to insert smoothing. Additionally you will likely want to add material to the original bevel so you can reprofile it to be flat. You can use JB weld or a similar type of epoxy for this purpose. I consider this to be optional, but highly recommended. No jig is provided, you should be able to do this freehand.

2.) Magazine Body - There's no mag catch slot on the right side of a Colt/Uzi mag. So you're going to have to make one. If you reprofiled the aforementioned magazine release to look like a mirrored copy, then transfer the markings from the left side of the magazine body to the right side. There are several ways to accomplish this. You can use a center punch and drill to drill a hole then expand with files or a burr on a rotary tool, or you can use a cutting wheel on a rotary tool. Regardless of which way you choose to do this, file to the finished dimensions. Wear your eyepro - metal in the eye isn't fun...I speak from experience. If you're not comfortable doing this, then don't attempt. No jig is provided.

If you cut into an assembled magazine...you may pay the stupid tax. Strip the mag first - you've been warned.

If you elect to not add material to the magazine release do NOT transfer the original mag catch slot across to the right side and cut it out exactly. You'll have to experiment on your own. If you do go this route, post a comment and let me know how it goes for you. I'm in the process of building mine at the time of posting.
