My projects are expensive. But cheaper and much more robust than what the market currently offers. Measure each part in the file, follow the list, and don't forget to design feet for the fucking thing. If it falls over, It'll crack a garage floor.
Materials Required: Approx 3 90lb bags of Quickrete, 14ft of 4x4 Square tube. 3x 20x20x1" a36 or 1018 mild steel. 20x20 cork or 2mm Lead sheet for (maximizing contact between machine and table.)
Tools Required: Angle Grinder, Tiger paw, Wire wheel, slicing discs, (I prefer a cutting torch for anything thicker than 3/8" but Diablo sells some badass circular saw blades. If not a grinder works.) Welder,
1/4" fillets on all connections.
Outer edges are to be welded and ground flat.
I like 6010 root capped with 7018. But if you want, glue that shit with some good old .035 mig wire.
!!Before capping legs, mix concrete and fill each leg with the mix, should add 47lbs to each leg.
When all is done. Wire wheel every surface, and paint with DTM paint.
Pop the holes for your machine yourself. Use Grade 12.9 nuts, bolts and washers for mounting machine.
I built one and I have yet to get harmonics in any projects I previously had issues with.
I am going to halt all firearms uploads for the foreseeable future due to the toxicity within politics and separation of the community. If they wanna ban 3d printers, I am making it my goal to teach you how to be more American than these Chomos ever thought was possible.
Tonight I will begin the Expedient Machinists Catalog. Requiring only a drill press, welder, and hand tools to make some badass machinery.
The first upload will be a Home built Milling machine.
The second will be a Shaper.
Then we will get Into lathes.
After that you bet your fucking ass we are making a hydraulic button rifling machine. Perhaps some rankine things.
