M&P M2.0 Personal Use Only

This STL models the geometry/fit for the Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0of any caliber. Intended for hobbyist, personal use and hands-on fitment .

Print notes

Print at 0.15 mm layer height.

Supports required (small overhang + striker-channel cutout).

Material: Carbon-fiber nylon or other heat/impact-resistant filament recommended. PLA+ ok for mockups but will not hold up to heavy/extended use.

Orient part so load-bearing faces have max wall count and shells.

Compatibility

Sized for Smith & Wesson M&P M2.0

Personal use only.

Legal & safety

By downloading you agree this is for hobbyist paint-marker use only. Laws vary — you are responsible for compliance. Author not liable for misuse, modification, damage, or injury.

This product renders the striker safety plunger non-functional, use at your own risk.

Safety first (do this before working)

Remove magazine/load. Verify chamber is empty. Work on a clean, well-lit bench with parts tray.

Prep (what to check & why)

Inspect the trigger-bar edge that contacts the striker/channel. If there are burrs or sharp edges, smooth them until rounded — do not shorten or change geometry; only remove burrs so mating faces are smooth to the touch.

Re-check fit to ensure you did not alter protrusion or travel.

Spring & cycling note

Some builds benefit from a heavier return/recoil spring for more stable cycling under heavier use(10mm/45cal needs 22-25lb spring) — consult a technician if you need help.

Install

Reassemble slide/upper so the slide can be racked normally. Rack and lock open to access the backplate/striker channel.

Depress the visible portion of the striker-channel/retainer (use the grip tool or a small punch) just enough to relieve tension so the backplate can be eased off — push, don’t pry.

Seat the device, keeping the striker channel depressed, then slide the backplate back on until it clicks/engages. If it won’t slide on cleanly, do very minimal filing of the channel liner tip to help feed — check fit frequently.

Apply a light coating of marker-appropriate oil/grease to moving surfaces and reassemble.

Function check & troubleshooting

With marker unloaded, cycle the slide by hand and confirm smooth, repeatable seating. If spongy or binding, stop and inspect — minor high spots can be smoothed; if unsure, consult a technician.

After a successful manual check, test-fire in a safe, controlled environment with appropriate protective gear and short strings to confirm reliability.
